Just to provide feedback we bought an XF from them today with exactly the same deal as offered by our local garage HA Fox in Guildford and in fact we also bought a number of extras and will have the car serviced there when delivered in May. I have not purchased a Jaguar before, having mostly owned Lexus and Audi in recent years but I must say that the service we received today is what we would expect from the Jaguar brand as opposed to the disinterested and aloof treatment in Guildford last weekend. We did receive an excellent offer from BMW but have been pursuaded by your team in Farnham to go with Jaguar and I am sure it will prove to be a sound decision.

Can I take this opportunity in expressing my appreciation with respects to the Professional Manner that your College Carl Wallis conducts himself. 

In this Day and Age when so many Car Salesman are Tarnished with the Image of being Con Merchants and I must admit I’ve met a few. It was a privilege in initially making phone contact to discuss a potential Part Exchange for a Saab V6, Reg KA07 KXG. Carl said that he would come back to me and make me a one off offer, after consultation with his Superior.

Customer Feedback on Hirsh Upgrade

Due to a heavy work schedule this week I have spent a lot of time driving in heavy traffic, under these circumstances the upgrade was unobtrusive, i.e. the car can still be driven comfortably in stop/start and slow conditions.

When you do want to accelerate away the performance is outstanding.  My first overtaking manoeuvre was over so quickly I was slightly startled by it!

The power delivery is smooth, though I did manage to get wheel spin at about 60mph (it was a damp/greasy road).

My petrol consumption has improved by about 2 mpg (possibly more if I can bring myself to stop rocketing away at every opportunity).

It will take me a while to get used to the new performance profile, but i am absolutely delighted with it.  It was definitely worth the money.

Last week we collected our new X-Type from Swain and Jones and we are delighted with the car. The reason for writing is to let you know how pleased we both were with the care and courtesy shown to us throughout the process, from our various test drives earlier in the year, the completion of the sales agreement to the day of collection. All members of staff involved were a credit to the company and their polite assistance at all stages made the whole procedure a very pleasant experience. I must make a special mention of Stephen Cook, who was extremely patient with our lengthy deliberations (we don't change our cars very often!) and on the day we collected the car he went to great lengths to explain the various controls thoroughly, to the extent that it has hardly been necessary to refer to the handbook since.

On my recommendation, I suggested that a friend of mine, Mrs Dobson contact your garage to purchase a used Rover. She is of a nervous disposition and reluctant to "deal" with pushy salesmen.

Dear Mr Lungley,

I want to express my delight and satisfaction with this lovely new Jaguar which I took delivery of last Wednesday 2nd April. With Wesley's excellent and superlative help on the day and through all the complex vehicle exchange documentation, everything went as smoothly as silk. There was no doubt in my mind of the excellent customer service which Swain and Jones provide, which has been well demonstrated during the past six years of ownership of my X Type which I purchased from you back in 2002.

Although I now live in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, I made the correct decision to purchase the new Xf from yourselves, rather than to make perhaps the more logical decision to go to the main agent HA Fox in Cheltenham. Regrettably of course, I will need to use this agent in the future for my servicing requirements, which is a pity having had such good service from yourselves both in the sales dept and Andrew Taylor's. However, I have every reason to believe that their customer support will come up to Jaguar standards, we shall see!

The XF is a delight to drive and I am still learning all it's amazing capabilities, including the wonderful "Blue Tooth" hands free communication system. Then as for the amazing Bowers & Wilkins sound system, it blows your mind away. It certainly comes up to home Sony STR-DA 1200 ES Multi Channel AV Receiver system. The XF interior design appearance makes up for the absence of the 50 inch Pioneer plasma screen!

I am already getting admiring remarks from passers bye, and my family are lost for words. My grandsons used to call the X Type ''The Palace'', now they are stuck with what to call this one. My granddaughter (16) says ''It's Real Cool'' . That from a young lady of today I reckon is praise indeed.
 
I certainly won't have any problems with ticking the ''Superlative'' boxes when I get the inevitable Customer Critique form from Jaguar in a few days time. Good hunting to you, but it is sad that the economic outlook is so depressing at the moment, but the XF is bound to do better than your competitors.

I would like to express my extreme pleasure and gratitude at the way you have handled things relating to my Jaguar XKR, not just recently but ever since the day it was delivered back on the 1st March 2007.

You may recall that you were kind enough to bring the car to my house on that day (at approx 6pm) and to spend some considerable time going through the various controls with me until I was completely comfortable with the vehicle. You were aware that I had an important dinner arrangement that evening and it was absolutely fantastic for me to arrive at that engagement in my new XKR, in no small way due to your efforts.

Over the past year I have driven the vehicle in just about every circumstance possible and every single mile has beem an absolute pleasure.

You will be aware that last year you added a factory body kit and enhanced the brakes with a 'brembo' brake effect, together with a walnut steering wheel and portfolio interior mats. Thanks to this the car looks even better and draws much more admiration where ever I go.

In closing I would like to say that the customer and Aftersales service I have received from yourself and indeed from Swain and Jones as a whole has been exemplary and that I would be more than happy to purchase my next Jaguar from your good selves when the time comes.

Firstly may I thank you for "talking" me into taking out wheel and tyre insurance, because having covered barely 1000 miles I had a puncture caused by a screw penetrating the tread of the rear tyre, this could not be repaired.A new tyre was fitted very efficiently by Swain and Jones and the cost of £165.00 was covered by insurance, thank you.

It has been a week since taking delivery of my S Type and I must say I am enjoying the car immensely.

I test drove the BMW 5 series and the Mercedes E220 and although I am sure many may disagree I feel that although both excellent cars neither came close to the Jaguar in terms of comfort and all round appeal. you would have to go very much up the model and price list fort he two German cars to compare and feel that perhaps although they compete on price perhaps these entry level German cars are not in direct competition with the S Type.

I would like to thank imparticular David Doyle for his assistance in helping me choose the car and I would certainly recommend not only Jaguar to my colleagues(all drive BMW's) but also Swain and Jones for the buying experience.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

My wife and I purchased a Jaguar X Type Estate today from your dealership. The purpose of this letter is to inform you about the absolutely superb customer service from Jaguar and especially from Wesley Wittstock. Initially I was unsure about whether to buy a Jaguar or from one of your competitors, and even before I had test driven any other vehicle I was already veering towards the Jaguar because of the difference in customer service.

I registered my interest on the internet to test drive the Jaguar and received a call later that afternoon saying that I would be contacted by Swain and Jones within 48 hours. That same day Wesley called me and we set up a time and date to drive the car. By contrast, I had to chase one of your competitors for a test drive and when I arrived for my appointment had to wait for half an hour.

Wesley is obviously a salesman and his job is to sell cars to customers, however I personally don't like to be hassled or given the "hard sell" but equally don't like to feel that I am not being taken seriously. I feel that Wesley struck the right balance and even though we were buying one of your less expensive cars we still received the very best customer service.

I will certainly be recommending Jaguar to all my friends and if in the future I change jobs and get a huge pay rise I will come back for the XKR.

It's my tenth Jaguar; I have to admit I am addicted. The X350 is a superb car and the XJR a stunning model. The acceleration is simply stunning and a two day business trip this week, mixed roads, mixed driving has returned 25.2 mpg average, better than my 3.2 Sport it replaces.

I would like to compliment Piers for the great customer service that he has offered, we first met back in July 2006 as I began my search to replace the X308 I had and I was quite demanding on specification. Piers called me regularly to update me on progress and mentioned a few cars along the way until the X350 arrived.

I much appreciated his determination that I continue as a happy customer, after the deal was done and payment made, by spending considerable time in the car with me ensuring I was familiar with the controls and accessories, and in calling me a couple of days later to ensure I had not met any unforeseen problems.

CHRYSLER GRAND VOYAGER JUST KEEPS GOING!

Loyal Chrysler customer Ian Lewis, who runs his own corporate chauffeur company called Voyager Cars, is parting with an old friend  -  his Chrysler Grand Voyager!

His car has racked up an amazing 327,000 miles in less than four years without having any breakdowns or major parts replaced.

And such is Ian's love of the Grand Voyager and its reliability that he has bought another one!

I am writing to you with regard to my experience whilst dealing with Swain & Jones.It is a sad reflection that these days we are conditioned to expect poor service and inefficiency. It is all too common that we are prepared to put pen to paper to complain when we suffer in this way although, diversely, it is all too rare to make an effort to pass comment on a job well done. However, it is refreshing when we encounter both excellent service and efficiency, which was the case with Swain & Jones, in particular Steve Francis. I feel that the phrase praise where praise is due is quite correct and indeed this is the case here. I found everybody that I dealt with to be both polite and willing to help. Telephone calls were handled professionally and efficiently nothing was too much trouble. I am now an established customer of Swain & Jones and I have purchased three vehicles through Steve Francis, and I would be grateful if you would pass on my comments and let Steve Francis and Les Knight know that their outstanding efforts are recognised. I would like, in turn, to congratulate you on your staff and organisation in general.
